I am not a CONSERVATIVE. I refuse to be ties to that political ideology because that is not what I believe in nor have I ever believed in it. I feel what best describes myself is a constitutional conservative. Well what the hell is a constitutional conservative? Constitutional conservatism is defined as a movement that believes in the use a complex of ideas, attitudes, and patterns of behavior elaborating the principle that the authority of government derives from and is limited by a body of fundamental law.
Oh but you know what once upon a time I used to call myself a Democrat, it was actually one of the first parties I agreed with. What changed my mind was the complete and utter disregard to the Constitution by the hands of the Democratic party, especially during the 2016 debate.
I believe that no matter what the rights and rules laid out in the Constitution should be upheld because if not where does that stop the government from infringing on the rights of it’s citizens all because “its not written down”. Oh and you know what else I’m Christian. I feel it all ties right in together with the idea of rules and laws to live by and if my belief offends you then well in the word of the incomparable Ben Shapiro “facts don’t care about your feelings”.
